Re: Charging at 240 in US using Occasional Use

The company the makes the "JESLA" charge cable - which is the OEM TESLA charge cable modified with the J1772 connector (expensive), also makes a multi-voltage Go-Cable. https://shop.quickchargepower.com/Go-Cable-Tri-Voltage-120-208-240-low-cost-portable-charging-GC20.htm Uses a NEMA L6-20 plug, but ...

Re: Rex air filter?

On the BMW Scooter using the same engine, first air filter change is listed at 12,000 miles, and it runs at much higher RPM and is exposed to much more road-dust etc, than what the same engine is limited to in the i3 - both RPM wise, and dust-wise. I would guess three or four times at least the "mil...

Re: Mobile Phone mount with wireless charging

What's the name of the mount?

A link to a closed Facebook group is pretty much useless.

Re: Eucalyptus Not Being Sold?

Very odd that those aren't available - you'd think that if not stocked in the US, they could easily be shipped over from Germany. You might try calling your local BMW dealer's parts department, and see if they can get an answer as to why they are not available, and if it is a change-over from one su...

Re: Install Thule roof rack tracks

The Yakima site shows they do a roof rack system that fits the i3 - but at a price pushing $700 for one, makes the SeaSucker mount look very economical. :)

And with frameless windows, not sure how the Yakima system, which looks like it clamps to the top inside of the door frame would work.

Re: Install Thule roof rack tracks

The SeaSucker mounts look promising!
Yeah, but pricy.

People have put together their own temporary roof carrier with these.

Re: Winter wheel/tire fitment 2018 i3s

Or do a short-term rental on a box at the UPS store in Blaine, just across the border, so you have a US ship-to address.

Re: Winter wheel/tire fitment 2018 i3s

Unfortunately, they don't ship to Canada! Odd - you might message the seller and ask to be sure. I once bought an overdrive transmission for an MGB on eBay UK, where the listing specifically said, would not ship to the US - messaged the seller, and he had no problem shipping it out to me in Dallas,...

Re: Winter wheel/tire fitment 2018 i3s

Nice find, though OUCH almost $500 shipping from Germany! Even with shipping though, that's still only $312 per wheel, with winter tire already mounted and balanced, ready to bolt on the car. The winter tires alone are $140 plus at least $20 per for mounting and balancing new - so figuring at $160 ...
