Re: Software Update is 3.56.4.003

My car went in on 23 Aug for a window fix but was then held back for the software upgrade. Because I was supplied with a courtesy car I wasn't too concerned but FIVE weeks later my car has been returned with the update which had to be carried out by another dealer 30 miles away! That's the sort of ...

Re: How do you add pictures

Like most other forums?

You can't! This is so poor. Am I right to think that this forum is just one of many forums set up by a developer? Income is coming in but doesn't seem to be re-invested into a member friendly setup.

Re: Text Messages

The green toggle is on, show notification is on, I see the small envelope appear when a text arrives but this does not compare to Galaxy full SMS pairing.

If you have access to a Samsung Galaxy just pair it up and you will see. Sadly I can't post a photo on here to show you.

Re: Text Messages

my s3 galaxy works fine with text,s but i disabled because it is dangerous and distracting while driving its an unnecessary function anyway, and concludes my suspicions iphones are not all there cracked up to be. Re: Text Messages

The solution might not be in the car, which could be coded properly, but in your iPhone's Settings > Bluetooth > Show Notifications toggle. It should be green (active). See http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=895090 for more details. As already mentioned above, apple have limited the ...

Re: 2014 i3 upgrade

My i3 from April 2014 is having various updates and upgrades, it is taking 4 weeks so far and has had to go to a different dealer for the work to be done. I'm not really concerned because the local dealer has given me a courtesy car of which I've added 4000 miles!

Re: Text Messages

I'm not jelloslug, but I activated iDrive Office by modifying the FA code (VO coding) and, as a result, can read new texts in the nav screen in my North America-spec i3. I see none of what you describe in the split screen at right. The ConnectedDrive site says the software is up to date. The texts ...

Can you confirm that once your pair your iPhone 6, you see

A list of all your texts on the right hand side of screen?
You can delete, reply and compose a new text using your I drive joystick?

Re: Text Messages

At least on the US models there is an option buried deep in the menus called "Dragon Drive!" It's a subscription based service that will give you access to your text messages and email. Since a subscription service to get something that is considered a basic feature on virtually all other cars is i...
