Re: My beautiful brick.

I think you're on the right track getting a charge on the 12 volt. You wouldn't be the first to install a partially charged Remy and have a continuation of symptoms. Did you happen to measure the voltage on it?

Re: Connected Services Ending - Offical

The European 3G phase out dates vary by country and carrier, but many aren't until the end of 2022. Also, 2G is remaining in service in many areas.

Anybody know if the 3G boxes were backward compatible with 2G? I suspect so.

That's where I store my vaccination card. BMW is forward thinking!

That must be a corollary to BMW's old tag line, "Sheer Driving Pleasure is in our DNA."

If it helps ease your concern, I've driven mine to zero indicated a few times. It's very trustworthy, which is why I've done it. The rate of discharge tracks steadily (not like a phone or PC which can go from 15% to "shutting down..." in a blink) . There's a healthy hidden buffer below 0%, so even u...

Re: Resonant hum

What about your cross threaded lugs?

Did they find any wear on the inner sidewall?

Re: Resonant hum

I hope this is all covered. Since BMW was last to touch it, and the inspection should include a look at the brake pads, the cross threaded lugs at minimum should have been caught. Whether the tech was responsible, or responsible for noticing, that the tires were crossed, well, that's almost a second...

Re: Used BMW i3 Inventory - Good or Bad news?

I've been half contemplating selling the 2017 BEV and picking up a 2029, but inventories are thin and the retail value on mine seems lower than I anticipated, so I'm staying put .

Re: Resonant hum

I'm at a disadvantage too, because I rarely charge to 100%, and when I do, it's at work on the flatlands. But on those rare instances, I have noted (with alarm!) an unmistakable lack of regen approaching intersections.
