Re: Do you have a Wallbox charger at home, or why not?

...Once you use a 7.2kW charger at home, you'll never use the L1 again. ... I have a bank of 32 amp L2 at work and a 40 amp unit unit at home and rarely use either, preferring to plug in to good old 120. I don't want to be at 100%, and I don't want to bother with having to unplug my fully-charged c...

Re: Do you have a Wallbox charger at home, or why not?

I have a 30AMP, 240V charger and have it for 8 years now. I will not charge the car with the slow charger that came with the car...it's for an emergency only and find the speed just too slow. To be honest, I leave it at home and have never ever used it. People worry WAY too much about battery life a...

Re: i3 HV Battery Upgrade

You guys do realize that these battery upgrades will also alter the dynamics of the car right? I personally would not do it.

Re: Is the i3 going to be as 'cult' as the Original Beetle when production stops?

What other car under 300k can you talk about that actually has a carbon fiber frame? I'm literally driving a state of the art (structurally) vehicle for $22k. The i3 (more the S) is the only EV I can think of that feels like a hot hatch. No other EV...Tesla included...comes close to it in that regar...

Re: Car unstable, jerking left and right, swerves

So what does the CPO warranty cover? Pretty much absolutely nothing? Seems to me they just claim their used cars have extended warranties to get people into their used inventory. Otherwise it seems like a whole lot of BS.

Re: Metallic rattle sound from passenger side over deep bumps

Sure, here's the file: http://sndup.net/cgfm It can be heard twice. Something must be loose, but I'm not sure where to go hunting. It sounds like it's mostly from the rear, but sometimes it sounds closer to the front. I hear that sound as well in my car. I chalk it up to internal wiring within the ...

Re: HELP: Garage door unprogrammed itself

It's very possible it has something to do with your key or the profile in the vehicle. I am having intermittent issues with my iDrive tiles resetting to their original positions even when I don't use a different key. I can't figure out why but for some reason, the vehicle doesn't retain the profile ...

Re: BEV E-Motor transmission/differential Oil - change?

I'm looking into seeing if the dealer will do this for me...and how much. My E-tran is a little on the louder side than I like...almost sounds like sand paper at low speeds. That doesn't mean it's gone bad as I feel no issues with it. But if they can change the oil, great. I have almost 48k miles on...

Re: Set a maximum charge limit

You can limit the charge to 80% via the app but it'll have to be done manually. Rule of thumb...every 1% battery charge takes around 2.8 minutes on a 7.2 kWh charge rate for the 94aH pack. Where can you set a charge limit of 80%? Do you have a screenshot? No you don't set it. You check the charge s...
