Re: 2 year old i3 with low mileage

The "big" current battery debuted in the US for 2019. 2018 had the smaller battery, but still bigger than 2014-2016 I believe. You sure it has the "big" battery? Under 4000 miles is like a brand new car. If the price is right, and it is the colour combo and options you want or need....get it. You'll...

Re: Fuel stabilizer a good idea if you don't drive much??

Usually when you store old cars - you fill the tank up to the top - so that there is only fuel and no air - no air - no oxygen - fewer reactions. ***WARNING - WARNING*** DO NOT DO THIS WITH AN I3 ALWAYS let the tank fill to the first off click of the pump AND STOP! Overfilling the i3 puts fuel into...

Re: Fuel stabilizer a good idea if you don't drive much??

Could you describe how you activated REX at 75% of charge without coding please. Many thanks What Deutsch is getting at is though everyone calls it 'coding' your car to be able to activate the REx option - it's not coding at all. It is using an App to unhide or activate options built in to the car'...

Because none of us are doing any coding. The Hold State of Charge is already built in the car. We, in the USA, are just activating it. Coding sounds dangerous, scary and complicated.

Re: Fuel stabilizer a good idea if you don't drive much??

I add a small amount of fuel stabilizer in the REX tank, since I do not use the REX much. Although, since I activated (NOT coded ;) ) the Hold State of Charge, I am trying to use the REX 1-2x a month. You might want to consider activating REX to be able to use it when you want. As long as you are be...

Re: 2021 i3s

Guest profile is ACTIVE every time I use my i3. Nothing comes up that says Guest...I just have everything I want that I set working and has been 0 issue or glitch. I bought my i3S in Sept of 2020 and everything I set and stored is still there using the procedure I did. Seems like a reasonable strat...

Re: 2021 i3s

First, set your profile to GUEST via iDrive. Only have 1 key fob with you. Once you set your profile to GUEST, go ahead and set all your radio presets, car configuration settings...alarm, doors, safety systems, sound system tunings....everything you want to personalize! Now, get out of the car and ...

Re: 2021 i3s

Major software problem causing all this. When I took delivery of my new 2020 i3S, I kept losing my radio station presets (FM and Satellite), HVAC would not stay to the previous settings, my mirrors would not stay, and all my settings for daytime running lights, door openings, safety systems....basi...

Re: Should I reverse coding before taking it into BMW for service?

I have brought my 2017 i3 REX still under warranty into the dealer for routine brake service and did not de-acrivate or reverse any changes made through Bimmercode, including automatic folding mirrors. Nothing was mentioned. Even my 12 Volt battery was replaced under warranty and the changes stuck....
