Re: Charging i3 on a Tesla 150kW

There was a bug that allowed non Tesla cars charge on super chargers for free (in Europe obviously). I thought they fixed it but apparently some locations still have this issue. Regardless using a higher power charger is not an issue, the car charger dictates how much power it can accept.

Re: Deka World dominance?

I have the Deka but I changed the dash trim to Dark Oak. Now I am pretty happy with it. It still doesn't have the leather wrapped dash and ambient lighting, but the wood trim makes a big difference.

There is some discussions in news about this issue. The i3 is not the only device that will lose connectivity:

Paying cash in this market is a handicap. They make a profit on the loan that they arrange for the car, particularly if they mark up the interest rate.

Re: Level 2 Charger Recommendations

Since you are from Canada, Grizzl-e gets good feedback. They will set it internally for the max charging power based on your circuit. There are at least three dryer plug splitters in the market, the original was Dryer Buddy, then Splitvolt and NeoCharge. I am not sure which one is better. I saw a co...

Re: 1700 miles in 48 hours -- 120 Ah BEV...

Thanks, awesome report!

I found i3 to do very well on long trips, considering the battery size, at least in good weather. The car is somehow designed to return good efficiency at normal highway speeds.

Just as the title says:

Maybe they are serious about developing a car.

Re: Level 1 Living at 16 Amps

Many chargers have overcurrent protection. If the car draws more than the rated current they will throw a fault and disconnect. If the voltage in the circuit drop due to a poor connection and the car tries to draw the same power it could result in an overcurrent fault.
