Re: What's Your Default Driving Mode?

I run mine in Race Mode, with the traction control off.

Seriously, I also run Eco Pro mode (default coded), with the soft speed cap bumped up to 67 MPH.....

Re: Comfort access and high beam assistance

It would help if we knew what year and trim level your car is. In the early years, comfort access only came on the higher end models. If there are a series of vertical ridges on the outside door handles, the car has comfort access. I have no idea what high beam assistance does, and don't recall seei...

Re: Vanity plate?

It has only done about 3,000 miles total in the past 6 years, and lives in the enclosed race car hauler nice and dry.

Five more years until it meets historic registration status in NY State, which is making me feel real old right now since I bought it new 2/2000.....

Re: Vanity plate?

It is an original 2000 180 Quattro from the first imported batch, complete with no stability control, spoiler, and the dangerous suspension that killed that European rally driver on the Autobahn and caused them to globally recall every single 2000 model car (except one!) for dumbing-down the suspens...

Re: Vanity plate?

That is outstanding!  It is a play on the license plate that's been on my race car for 20 years now. When in doubt, the 12V aux battery failing (3-4 year typical lifetime) causes all kinds of weird electronic gremlins.....

Re: Swapped 12v battery. Still drain error showing.

BMW says it is, so that the car knows to reset the 12V charge curve back to optimum for the new 12V battery. Some i3 owners think that the whole battery-coding thing is a leftover from ICE/alternator days (or "stealership" money-grab), and doesn't really do anything for the i3's 12V aux battery. Som...
