Re: DC Retro-fit

I agree the DC should be fitted on a non-feature upgraded i3.

Re: Maximum electric range

It's a long time ago but I'm pretty sure that when I first looked at buying an I3 the salesman said the "Official" range was 107 Miles and that translated to around 75 Miles in the "Real World" My experience after 14,500 miles is range of 60 to 100 miles depending on driving style, pre-conditioning...

DC Retro-fit

Hi all.. I know this one has been asked before a while ago, but there is a hugely increasing demand for DC retrofit and was wondering if anyone knew of a change of heart from BMW? Many of us ordered our i3s when there was no sign of a fast charge network and hence could not warrent the cost of DC ra...

Re: Front End Warning Collision

I really like this feature especially during the cruise control. My i3 does all the decelerating and accelerating. However, I can't seem to get to work like it was shown to me during a test drive at one of the BMW dealerships ( which was not the one I ended up purchasing it from). I remember the sa...

Re: How many miles do you have on your i3?

194 (well I have only had the car a week). Not big mileage but at this rate I'll burn through my lease allowance very quickly. What is the motion software download mentioned above? What does it do and how so you get it? No connection, just a customer. http://www.dvdinmotion.com/bmw-i3-special Hmm ....

Re: KLE replacement outside of the US

Recall / Replacement ID is "B61 31 14" I believe its being applied in a staggered fashion to VINs, so not all will show it immediately. Those cars manufactured after September should already have new KLE and appropriate software. UK KLE's are being replaced when cars go into dealers and their VIN b...

Re: How many miles do you have on your i3?

Hello all! New member here and I'm interested in either buying or leasing an i3 Rex. I have an extended test drive setup for this Thursday to see if the car will fit my driving needs and I'm pretty excited! :D In the meantime, I'm curious to see how many miles have been driven and how your ownershi...

Re: Anticipated driving tips

In the manual it says when driving in eco pro or eco pro plus the car gives you tips when you should decellerate when nearing a roundabout or traffic lights or certain other traffic signs. But my i3 does not do this. It only shows the speed limit in the display and nothing else? When i drove in an ...

You can reduce the 'sensitivity' by using eco pro mode... i use this all the time. I find comfort mode is a bit too snappy for everyday cruising. Enjoy and get to know your new friend.

Re: _grunt coming from clutch discs_

HIll hold works to prevent you from rolling opposite the setting of the transmission, so it will stop you from rolling backwards when in drive, and forwards when in reverse...but, at least on mine, I've not heard any clutches engaging when it does that. I often use the electronic parking brake when...
