Re: RExes in existence

Here are some stats from a couple of longer trips in my REx over the weekend. Both consisted of about 5 miles of slower driving to get onto the motorway and then ACC set at 70mph although it was busy bank holiday traffic so lots of slower sections (and the inevitable UK roadworks). All driven in ECO...

Re: RExes in existence

Good stuff Paul. I've got a 190 mile motorway journey on Thursday which I'm hoping to do with just one fill-up so if it goes as well as your test it should be fine.

Re: Failed to Charge

I'm keeping an eye on this thread because I'm experiencing some charging oddness too which I haven't posted about as I'm still not sure if it's just me misunderstanding how it works. I'm starting to suspect a problem so have contacted BMW.

Re: Extra legroom in footwell

Good for legroom, not so good for anything you place in the passenger footwell being able to fly across and get in the way of your pedals. Not that I'd be daft enough to do that...

Re: Adaptive LED headlights

Here's a nice video of the Adaptive LED system on a 7 series. http://youtu.be/kZ1NOzIbadk heh, check the OP ;-) There's a good thread about this elsewhere, personally I think Palleraa's info is the most convincing I've read although it's very hard to tell. I've been driving my i3 for a month now an...

Re: Failed to Charge

Thanks SS. I didn't get the "High Voltage Battery Not Fully Charged" message when mine didn't reach 100% before the departure time. I wonder what the difference was ? I've not been using pre-heating though, maybe that's in the mix like you inferred.

Re: Failed to Charge

I'm fairly certain I've had a red charge port in the morning (I think I mentioned here). It seemed to be related to setting a pre-condition time and not having sufficient time for the car to charge before I wanted to leave. Strange, there's been two times where I've been very late plugging my car i...

Re: Charge AC/DC

So people fitting home AC fast chargers capable of 32 amp will only benefit if the car has the DC fast prep on board? I think this topic is complicated due to the fact that there are different Euro specs. In the UK our cars can charge at 7.4kW AC as standard (with or without DC spec'd) which is dif...

Re: Errors in the Dec13 brochure (UK)?

Hi Michael, Long time no see. I still have your excellent Frankfurt Motor Show photos saved to my HDD :-) Surprised to see that you haven't got your car yet. I think you've been a bit unlucky there, I'm sure there are others who ordered about the same time who have collected by now. I suppose 7 week...
