Re: Failed to Charge

I Noticed the flash red round the 'electric filler point' This indicates that there's been an error rather than a mix-up with the timer settings ? Was the light on the wallbox button also also flashing red or just the socket on the car ? Did you get any message in car about it ? I have just been to...

Re: What Car? BMW i3 long-termer

One of my colleagues tried the i3 last night and came in this morning raving about the Traffic Jam Assistant I used the Traffic Jam thingy for the 3rd time today. The first couple of times was only for a few mins at a time and I wasn't sure about how useful it is but having now used it for longer I...

Agreed, I've experienced this a couple more times since my OP and 29% seems to be the magic number that it stops charging at each time.

Hi Ken,

I'm not sure, the handbook is a little ambiguous about that. This is all it says.

Re: Charging query

The battery suffers more degradation when left at a very low SOC, therefore it would make perfect sense to immediately start charging if at only 4%, and stop at maybe 20% Yes, that's fine if that's what it's doing but because it's not mentioned in the handbook and nobody had previously mentioned it...

Re: Charging query

Thanks for the info Simon, that sounds similar to what I observed.

I'll keep an eye on it and will post in this thread if it happens again.

No need, it does that automatically.
