Does this work if you don't have anything "activated"? In the manual, there is something about an "Intelligent Safety Button", but it doesn't indicate where this button see, nor do I see it on my dash. Is this feature only available when you have cruise control with distance control on? This doesn't seem to make sense if you're driving around in town. But I've never gotten any notification or felt any braking assistance during stop and go traffic, or any warnings about pedestrians crossing.

I did see in the menu setting where you can set the distance warning to early/medium/late. This doesn't seem to change the cruise control distance. I set it to early and don't get any warnings or brake assist.

If you search for images of "BMW i3 dash," it's the illuminated green circle button directly below the hazard light switch, center stack.

On U.S. models, this will only be found on cars equipped with the tech package.
