Yes I was surprised too when I got the car, I was not expecting the high beams and the front flashers to be so 1990...when the rest of the car is so futuristic.
My feeling is that the mid life model will have a redesigned front bumper that will eliminate those regular lamps. Every lights in the car is LED except for the front bumper...they had to keep something to improve...
