Since it's about 75 here today, been drivin' with the windows down for the first time

I kinda like the motor's subtle but very noticeable whine during acceleration

Don't hear it with the windows up and it seems to go away at speed

There's also a slightly different, choppy whining sound during it's aggressive brake regen slowdown

Just a noob noticing stuff

I'm loving the whine when you rocket away from the lights :D
Unlike the whine you get from some owners complaining of reduced range when it's cold, that's just annoying.

Not sure anyone cares.... But it's not the motor you hear. It's the caps in the power electronics. :D

These will become the sounds of power for a whole new generation replacing lumpy cams and induction/exhaust roar....... I can't wait until EVs hit the salvage yards in a big way and hot-rodders start to play with them!

Hi Wayne,
could well be, but in my experience i3's power electronics are surprisingly silent. To my ears the whine has more of a mechanical ring to it.
