Hi All

New to the forum!

I am rebuilding a 2019 120ah i3 that was hit in the front for a bit of fun! It is going to need a new rad/condenser pack (as well as a 100 other things).

I notice that the AC condenser, all the shrouding, fan etc are the same part numbers, but the rads are different between the full electric and REX. As the shrouds are the same, the sizes must be the same, but I guess the core could be different.

Anyone know of the difference between the two? Could see that the REX needing more cooling due to the ICE, so may be a higher efficiency core.

Thanks
John

I have a 2019 BEV and can tell you that the 2019 BEV definitely HAS the up/down horizontal "flaps" in front of the A/C condenser. Sometimes those are not shown in the diagrams for parts, etc.

I do not know about the comparable REX.

Stay safe.

Looks like the REx radiator is about twice as thick as the BEV radiator:
BEV: BMW part 17117600511, Nissens 60814, Core Dimensions: 600 x 339 x 16 mm
REx: BMW part 17118678027, Nissens 60816, Core Dimensions: 600 x 334 x 32 mm
