Blue / Grey power bar

HI all

Does anyone know why the blue area on the power bar sometimes goes grey? Mine seems to do it a lot in ecopro mode. The manual says something along the lines of 'conditions are not optimum for maximum efficiency'. It would be great to understand exactly what it means.

It shows the maximum output restriction based on either battery temperature or the mode you've selected indicating that you can't easily get the car into that zone...think of it as a power limiter. You can override it, but you have to floor the accelerator pedal rather than it being linear once you've reached the software controlled 'stop' in the pedal travel. IOW, for maximum efficiency, you should not be using maximum acceleration, and all the display is doing is showing you where that limit is.
