Need some help. I ordered repair cable from BMW in UK for front sensors. Center console switch from Germany, and sensors from e-bay.

The wiring on the center console switch has 5 wires in and switch without parking button has three terminals. Switch with parking button has 5 terminals on it so everything adds up here.

I cannot seem to find the (extension) plug under the front wheel arch on either side , to plug in the bumper sensor wiring loom?

Do I need another loom?

I've been on tours at two different BMW factories. During those, a common theme was that for most things, each car gets a custom wiring loom based on its options. IOW, they try to minimize extra wires and connectors. Now, there are some exceptions, at least for some options, one of which, at least in the USA, they tend to prewire the cars for satellite receivers when that option was not selected to make it easier to add after the fact. It wouldn't surprise me that the car does not have the wiring harness for the sensors. www.realoem.com usually has some decent parts lists...I'd start searching there to see.

Thanks for this information. Great site and I got some information and part number from this website but one thing they do not have on there is the wiring diagrams, Was a good idea to try I guess :)

I installed an aftermarket system and used the original BMW switch for it (bought used from ebay). I had to modify the switch and use a delay relay in between but I'm quite satisfied with the result. The front PDC doesn't show up on my screen but it has a beeper to indicate the distance.

Link to the pdc you purchased?

I installed this kit.

As I wrote earlier, I had to modify the original BMW switch and add a delay relay in between. Now, when I push the original switch the PDC stays activated for the time set on the relay. I've set mine for about 5 seconds.
