Homelink Retrofit?

Has anyone ever tried to retrofit the Homelink mirror (PN 51169890028, for example) into a Mega world i3? My two concerns would be physical fitment and whether any additional wiring would be required.

Why don't you go to the Facebook groups. I find responses here rather slow and there aren't as many people on this site. Facebook has a number of groups such:
