Hi!
I have just installed a hitch to use for bicycle carrier on my i3. I found a danish removable hook with vertical mount that did not need as big modification on the rear bumper as the ecohitch one. :

Fitting was pretty simple, took me 2 hours when i was meticulous.

Next is to do the electrics but i have had troubles finding a wiring diagram.
I will use a transistor box not to draw current from the lead lights. Is there anyone here that already done the operation and have good advices to share? Or anyone know where to find a wiring diagram would be much appreciated.

Thanks! Andreas /Sweden

Thanks Mark!
I already have the trailer-wiring with high impedance “relay box”(transistors actually). But the instructions for this harness would be nice to get hold on!

I have the same tow hitch. The German seller provided an electric cable box but without clear instructions.

Almost forgot this thread! I ended up opening the trunk lid from the inside to reach the tail-lights. Then I measured the cables to figure out turn signals, parking light, brake light and reverse light. Power to the hitch I took from the back side of the 12V outlet in the trunk. Works like a charm
