Roof epoxy failure?

Had the dealer look at my roof because it looks to be developing the problem others are having with the roof. They said it looked like someone else had already tried to do something with the roof, therefore it's not covered under warranty.

I'm not familiar with what the original roof looks like. I didn't really pay a lot of attention to the roof, but does the texture change if it's failing? I'm at a loss since I can't prove if something was or wasn't done to the roof. What can I do to get this addressed?

Any ideas would be welcomed.

did you by it used or CPO. If it is CPO then it shouldn't matter what was done by the previous owner, BMW inspected the car and said "it'd fine" so whatever was done to the roof before was ok by their standards and should be covered. If it's a regular used car, then you might be screwed...unless someone else has any ideas.
