Cannot select dynamic range maps

Try as I might I cannot select dynamic range maps. I have a used 2015 Tera with park assist and tech package.
 
I don't remember the exact sequence of options to select, but you do need:

Map in 2D mode,

Range Map checkbox checked in the map view options, and

To be zoomed out far enough to see the range "blob" on the map.
