I apologize in advance, as I imagine this topic has probably been covered elsewhere in the forum. I have a 2015 i3Rex. I'm moving from LA to NY. I'm considering driving it. I imagine I'll have to run it for long periods solely on gasoline. If I do so, will I damage or shorten the lifespan of the battery? Will I need to keep a minimum charge beyond what the battery reserves?

Thanks

You don't want to leave the battery nearly discharged overnight if it is really cold outside. While LiOn batteries aren't as fragile as lead acid ones if they're discharged and then cold, it still isn't great. If you code the car so you can turn it on earlier than the automatic level of 6%, you'll have a better chance to help keep the battery up in between possible recharge opportunities. Note, the maximum level resets when you shut the car off, so whatever it's at is the maximum until you can recharge it.
