Hello Everyone,

I am considering buying a second-hand i3 to use for daily commute in Prague (CZ).
Considering that I will drive about 20-25km per day, the 60ah seems like good enough especially as we already have a family car.

I checked this one https://www.tipcars.com/bmw-i3/hatchback/elektro/bmw-i3-i3-bev-14267397.html today i3 Bev 60ah.
The car is sold by a Leasing Company that had it in Operating Leasing for the past 3 years and is good cosmetic condition (just a little scratch on the left back wheel). Connectics and cable seem fine as well. à

BMW guarantee goes until 10/2020 and battery 10/2023.

Yet when I checked the hidden battery menu to check the battery max. capacity is 17.2km. Is it acceptable?

And the wheels seemed a bit rusty. I believe the car slept outside for 3 years. The car should come with full maintenance book but is it a problem? Do you think I should check other parts that could be sensible?

Is there anything else I should worry about ?
Thanks a lot for your advices.

The wheels are forged aluminum. They should clean up if stained. I'd be surprised if it was rust, more likely brake dust.

The battery number will vary based on the temperature and how it was recently driven somewhat. That number probably isn't an issue.

Even under worst case scenario, the car should have more than enough range for your intended use...probably a bunch more.

Thanks jadnashuanh,
Indeed the car is stored outside, most probably for several weeks, and a temperature between -3 to 5°c recently!

The battery looks to be in good condition for 58K km and three years. E.g., my 60Ah BEV, almost 40K km, shows 17.0 kWh now in winter. I don’t expect this number to hold at this level during the following 18K km.
