I have often wondered why no one on this forum has commented on the similarity between The GM (Vauxhall/Opel) European vehicle Meriva and the i3

Similar styling , no B pillar, coach style opening rears City commuter car.

BLASPHEMY!

I get what you're saying about the pillar and doors but the i3 is in a league of its own when it comes to design. The shape and contours are much bolder, rear doors are stealthed, CFRP is visible, it features eyecatching colour schemes etc. I know it gets stick for being "ugly" but there is no doubting it interests people and turns a lot of heads. Unfortunately the Meriva is as vanilla and bland as they come, if only it was flashing a bit of CFRP!

It was only really relating to the side profile ! ;) similarities the rest is GM standard parts bin fodder; they probably will call it Bolt or something like that when it reaches the US.
