Here's the install photos:

There are two torx screws underneath to get off. Use plastic pry tools to remove so you don't scratch the stuffs.

Here's the panel piece so you can see attachment points.

This was a pain to shimmy out, but if you angle it right, it comes out with very little force. There are actually 3 larger torx screws below the monitor that I was starting to remove in the hopes of moving the monitor, but I stopped after 2 so I don't know if the 3rd would've actually moved the screen. Use a microfiber towel on the lower corner of the screen when reinstalling to prevent marring the CF panel...ask me how i know.

This was a bit of a pain since it is tucked under the vent. Couldn't figure out how to get the vent out. If the vent could come out it would be much easier. But even without removing the vent it can rotate out. Careful of scratching. Place a microfiber towel under the top right nub to prevent scratching...ask me how i know.

Application isn't that bad since the pieces are mostly flat.

My compliments! Looks like it came from the factory.

Question, I'd like to wrap my desk with that stuff. Does it have a smooth or textured surface?

It has a slight texture to it. There are other brands that have a gloss on top. Those might be smooth.

The vent is held in place with metal tabs on either side and pulls straight out from the dash.

Looks good, better than I thought it would - I considered doing a CF wrap (I did CF in my last car), but for some reason I thought wood was more fitting for the i3.

I didn't have to remove the vent to get the small piece on the driver's side out - It should just pop out with by prying w/ a trim removal tool.

Do you have the link to where you purchased the wrap? It looks really good!! I may try with other items.

I just purchased it off amazon.

The specific vinyl I used was the 3M Scotchprint 1080 Carbon Fiber Vinyl Flex Wrap Black CF12 60"x12". That size should be plenty to cover all your dash panels.

Windshield, not so much :)

looks nice! question. has anyone tried to wrap the 'recycled' dashboard above the wood/under the windshield? I do think the wood looks nice in the i3, but I wonder about wrapping the recycled material in carbon wrap. Of course, extends to the door. : )

Thx.
