want a 18 or 19 inch wheel option for i3s

The i3s only comes with 20inch rims.
I wish there was an 18 or 19 inch wheel option.
Reasons:
Improved driving comfort
Less likely to destroy a rim or tire
Very likely improved performance

IMO the 20 inch rims are a victory of marketing over engineering.

Why not install one of the 19" i3 wheels? To keep the offset identical to that of the standard i3S wheels, you'd probably need to install wheel spacers.

I wonder if anybody has tried 195/70/17 tires. Fitted on 7.5x17" rims they should work on i3S (with fender flares). ET about 20 mm (or larger with spacers).

I'm looking for more comfortable ride.

I love my 20 inch rims. They transform the car visually and in performance. HUGE difference....and this is my 4th i3.

I purchased a set of 4 OEM BMW winter wheels for the i3s (Wheel style 428, 5x19) and mounted all season tires on all 4 wheels (square set up).

Does anyone have an opinion on this set up? The wheels were expensive, however I like the ride better than the stock 20's.
