My I3 ReX has been immobile for a number of months and battery is dead.

I have arranged transport to collect and take to the dealership to make roadworthy, but the transport needs the car to freewheel and steering unlocked, to allow it to be loaded onto the transporter.

Can this be done?, and if so, are there instructions anywhere which provides advice/guidance?

Thanks

Try a jumper box on the 12v battery. Use the terminals in the Frunk after removing the Frunk tray with a 25 TORX .
Better would be if you can manage to get behind the rear seats to remove the access cover under the carpet. You still need a 25 TORX to remove the 9-10 bolts. Then you hook up a jumper box to the terminals shown in this pic:

You need some sort of power to get the system to come on at all in order to get it into Neutral and unlock the steering. a little trickle charger is not going to work.
