Hi all,

Has anyone bought this subscription feature from BMW. Is it worth buying? It costs around £80 in the UK. It seems to have updated live maps, Alexa car integration and bmw online.
I’d like to know how useful it is on day to day driving.

Thanks in advance.

It depends whether you use the services that it provides, and how much you value them.

Of the seven components, one - Remote Services - is already built into the car (subscribed for the life of the car, in UK spec) so that leaves the remaining six. Of those, I only use one (RTTI).

Currently the option should (for you in the UK) be subject to a 20% discount offer.

I find updating the maps over the air (a couple of times a year?) useful to have to to date road maps and points of interest.
Unfortunately, the Connected Booster package does not include Map Updates. That is a separate subscription.

But it does include POIs and RTTI.

Having paid a deposit for an i3 (2019 120KW) but not yet taken delivery I'm struggling to work out what this package provides. Can anybody enlighten me please?

(I can't access the BMW offer as I need a code sent to the car, garage said they could help but not yet managed this)

Thanks

Simplest way is to get yourself a myBMW login for the car. That will then show you all of the services the car is already subscribed to, and which ones it is eligible for, along with a detailed description of what you get with each service.

Thanks. Guess I'll need to wait for the car. Have the app but can't connect to the car

The booster package has current got 20% off until 5th December.

I bought it the other day and it works out to be £63.

You are correct, on top of the standard connected drive services (lock/unlock/flash lights/preheat cabin/set timer for pre-conditioning), you will get live traffic data, weather, Alexa integration and News.

On the BMW app you will get charging history and stats which can be interesting if you like to keep track.

It does not include updating the maps, that is a separate cost, again, currently at 20% off (£63).

The only thing the app doesn't still show is my car mileage. It has always showed zero in the app.

Thanks for explaining what is involved
