I’m new to the whole ConnectedDrive scene. For those who have been in it for a while, is there any reason to believe that BMW in North America will provide Black Friday discounts for their remote services? I’m interested in trying it out to see if it’s worth it to me but don’t think I will at $120. I see that in the UK they have a week of discounts for it but haven’t seen evidence of that here.

In the UK, it's being pubilicised by BMW themselves in advance, so I would expect you would see the same thing in the US. If I go into the myBMW app and choose the option for car upgrades, that currently links to a BMW website page counting down the days until the offer becomes "live".

Yeah, I had read it was like that in the UK. Nothing in the app for me here in Canada. Come on, we have the queen on our money too!

A long-time U.S. i3 owner received the attached announcement of a Black Friday sale of Connected Services. This was addressed specifically to him, so I don't know whether others will receive this announcement. The sale started 2 days ago and I haven't received an announcement so probably won't. After logging onto my BMW account, no Black Friday sale announcement is shown. Maybe one's Connected Services subscription needs to have lapsed to receive this notice which is the situation with this i3 owner.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to take advantage of this offer while one's Connected Services subscription is in effect. I would like to extend my subscription for 1 year, but that doesn't seem to be possible.

I got the notice, but my earliest service expiration isn’t until January, so I also have no way to take advantage of any discount now.

I got the offer (2017 expired in Oct 2023). Not sure if it’s worth it.

Love having SOC and stats are nice, Traffic can be helpful. Otherwise the FREE stuff works fine.

I don’t suppose it works if shared? I’d be happy to try someone’s link :)
It just directed me to go to "My Garage" on the US myBMW website (not app) and look at available services for the car there for pricing. Since I am currently subscribed to all available services for my 2020 i3, there was nothing I could purchase or see pricing for.

Just now the My BMW app shows me there are specials but I guess nothing for the i3 as when I go to the store I still only have the regular $120 connected services packages.
