Hi,

Well God reminded me this morning why we don't leave extension plugs lying on the ground when it is going to be wet/condensation. The ground fault tripped out while I slept and the car was only at 91% when I was ready to leave. I quickly corrected the problem and got it up to 92.5% before I drove into work.
  • BAD NEWS - missed leaving with 100% SOC and preconditioning completed on a cool, damp morning.
  • GOOD NEWS - the ground fault circuit worked perfectly and I avoided the 'Skinner rat' dance.
I've removed the extra extension cord and all plugs are 'above the ground and dry.'

Yikes all is well that ends well. With all the constant cursing of the false ground fault tripping that one experiences it is a good reminder that it may well be worth it for the one time it trips for the right reasons!
