    20000 km without problems

Another one here past 20,000km! 1920kWh measured just before the charger, I do quite a bit of public charging which is free here in Ireland until December 2016 (we have just over 2000 7kW+ chargers and rapids every 25km on all major routes, not bad for a small country). No PV here as we get no...

    Switched 12 volt connection

Where on the windscreen did you install the camera? I'm having trouble finding a stop that's out of the way and not blocked by the ACC camera.

    Decent card holder

In fact a clip above each visor. I keep my UK cards in the passenger clip and my Irish card in the driver's side.

Snap-in USB Smartphone adapter for Google Nexus 5 or 6?

I did, it's not and in fact you need to replace the entire armrest to add it.

Snap-in USB Smartphone adapter for Google Nexus 5 or 6?

Well here in europe we now have universal snap in adapters (http://www.baum-bmwshop24.de/BMW-Snap-in-Adapter/Snap-In-Adapter-Connect-Universal.html) You can get one with a microUSB or lightning connector. Though the MicroUSB one will work fine with iOS devices using the MicroUSB to lightning...

Hack Traffic Jam Assist to restore self steering in USA?

nope.... definately the back of the steering wheel... no contact with the metal strip. It seems to be a capacitive sensor of some kind, no pressure required just gentle contact without gloves.

Hack Traffic Jam Assist to restore self steering in USA?

Actually the limit for the lane-keeping on my i3 is 60km/h which according to google is 38mph. It's quite a handy feature actually.... ACC keeps to max 60km/h if the traffic speeds up (and sounds an alarm after 5 seconds) but then you just tap the accelerator or resume button and you are back...

    Rear-Fog Switch Retrofit (U.S. i3s)

Is the top left blank actually used for anything in any region?

JESLA -vs- BMW i3 portable charge cable

Actually is there any reason we can't use the european Tesla UMC?

JESLA -vs- BMW i3 portable charge cable

Any plans to do type 2 mennekes? Or ChaDeMo to Type 2 CCS? Pity that the Chademo to Type 2 adapter from Tesla uses it's own signalling rather than homeplug green, a fairly simple physical adapter for Tesla Type 2 to CCS would have been great. Personally I've replaced the supply side of the the...

Google BMW i3 service manual... some helpful souls may have listed a link to the service manual sans payment.

Who knew about the folding wing mirrors?

At least on the european i3s unlocking the car either by pressing the button on the key or (if you have comfort access) just grabbing the door handles also unfolds the mirrors. To fold the mirrors and lock the car hold down the lock button on the key for 4 seconds. It also rolls up the windows...

Kent to South of France in i3 REx - am i mad?

It is. For the car side :) The french got pissed because the german mennekes connector got chosen as the standard type 2 connector over their design. Then got their connector added to the standard as an auxiliary connector and deployed a few thousand charging stations 'round the country using...

Kent to South of France in i3 REx - am i mad?

France uses an entirely different socket than every other country in Europe for EV charging: You'll need a cable from type 3 to type 2 (which is the socket on your i3): Like this...
