I've answered my own question. Via coding, in BKOMBI, find TACHO_ENHEIT and change it to km/h_mph/km/h. If in Settings, you have distance units set to km, then speedo will be in km/h only. If you change Settings to display distance in miles, you'll get large mph + small km/h.

So before I drove off the lot, the first thing I did was switch the system units into metric. Bizarrely, the speed limit is now displayed in BOTH mph and km/h. Since there's a choice, who would want that? (US spec here, I can see how this might possibly be of use in UK). How do I get rid of...
