What's the rate? I am opting to not take delivery of my Electronaut Edition i3 as I got used to driving my Model S and my wife won't garage her Roadster (as well as a few other things), but got my sister and her husband interested in the car. Their challenge was price, so if there's a deal...

Thanks Tom. Just changed the order to BEV from BEVx. My car is still not in production... Just didn't want to risk it. Besides, I have access to a NEMA 14-50 on both ends (and a JESLA to charge from)

BMW still needs to get the i3 REX approved for the list... That's still not there (believe me, I've been checking in with the "geniuses" for a while now...)

For California i3 REX people... This will be of interest. Looks like Green will be out before BMW even gets it approved for the sticker. Change of plans to BEV, I guess.

Just finished watching the Bug bang theory episode on March 13. 2014 (The Mommy Observation) and spotted an i3 in Solar orange in the last scene... (It was supposed to be 20 years in the future.)

Scott, I'm in the LA area as well and aside from the NRG station in San Diego and a GM Advanced Powertrain Facility in Torrance, where are the other CSS DC chargers? There are a lot of CHAdeMO DC Chargers and the Tesla Supercharger in Hawthorne, but both of these are incompatible with the US...

Just returned mine on the 23rd of February and still have an i3 on order and wondering whether to just back out... The latest about the i3 REX not being on the official Green Sticker list is bumming me out and is the additional straw (on top of removing the sunroof) to push me toward leaving...

Ultraturtle, I don't have as much experience as Tom on BMWi vehicles, but have one of the highest miles in the country for the Active E and own both a Roadster and Model S. Those of us with the Active E were testing the same battery chemistry as well as drivetrain as the i3. I have observed...

Todd, the i3 is supposed to charge at 7.4Kw speed. a 30A Clipper Creek is closer to 6.6Kw. There are several choices on higher speed portable charging. Clipper Creek just launched one that plugs into a NEMA 14-50 outlet (however, I believe the unit is also 30A) and I've been recommending...
