Has anyone replaced their window regulator motor?

Quick follow-up. Swapping out the regulator motor fixed the window up and down problems I had. Initially I thought it was the switch. BIG THANK YOU to those that pointed out the window problem in prior threads. What I learned: 1. Easier and less destructive to swap the motor from the inside...

Has anyone replaced their window regulator motor?

Looked like a straightforward DIY. I went through the inside panel. Shocking how easy it was to get the door card/interior panel off. I carefully cut the vapor barrier to access the motor. Removed one 30T torx screw and two 10mm bolts. Motor won’t budge. What step did I miss? Thanks in advance.

Invitation to take an i8 home for the weekend?

Market smoke and mirrors? I got an invite in my email to take an i8 home for a weekend test drive. ALWAYS LEAD. NEVER FOLLOW. With a range of BMWs earning best‑in‑class honors, our winners’ circle is getting crowded. The BMW i8 outperforms other plug‑in hybrids with an all‑electric motor...

    Carbon Fiber Wrap Dash Pieces

My compliments! Looks like it came from the factory. Question, I'd like to wrap my desk with that stuff. Does it have a smooth or textured surface?

    BMW CCA rebate arrived.

From nervous nelly to happy camper. First time I've ever submitted for the CCA rebate and it worked! Documentation sent late October 2015, and rebate arrived early January 2016.

Any tips instructions on removing pillar covers & headliner?

Looking to wire a BlackVue front and rear dashcam. I figured the best way to conceal the wires is in the pillars and headliner. While I like to tinker, I've never done anything like this before. Any tips or tricks? I'm worried I'll need some special tools. Thanks in advance.

Picking up a demo rex tomorrow

INTERESTING! I re-read the rules after i3atl's post and I got a new perspective. I'm not 100% comfortable with the following post because they do not use the term in service exactly as in the statute, but maybe we can find another, better resource with this start. If I ordered a vehicle in...

motreez, consider yourself lucky to have found this board. I was in a similar situation but Thank God someone in the forum chimed in about in-service date. I can totally relate to how you're feeling right now, but keep looking. There's gotta be an even better deal out there. I'm proof there are...

Picking up a demo rex tomorrow

Be aware of the In-Service date, that's what killed my initial deal. Actually worked out for the best, found an even better deal, fully loaded BEV for not much more money. Hmm, over 1,000 miles I don't believe the car will qualify for a BMW CCA rebate. Otherwise, ENJOY!

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

I'm not sure about the mileage, but if you are referring to the 2014 solar orange/mega/rex I got word it sold. IF you've got the time and inclination, do a nationwide search of 2014s. I posted instructions elsewhere, but quick summary, BMW does not keep a nationwide inventory of 2014s. Go to as...
