I think it is true what bmw says. Charging in NL is either 1-phase 16A (volvo, mitsubishi, bmw) or 3-phase 16A (tesla model s). I don't think there is such a thing as 1-phase 32A on public infrastructure. The main fuse will be limited to 16A, so you can't get to 32A. That's why i didn't order...

Essent has the Essent Soms kaart. It is free, but you pay 3 cents more per kwh

It's no comparison between a model s and an i3. One's a big car the other is a small city car. You can't compare a 7-series with a mini either. Just based on the fact they both have an ICE. If you have any in-depth questions about either car, feel free to ask. Since last week I own both :D

I charge @home mostly, but have the Essent card for incidental charging. It doesn't have a monthly fee. Works out fine for me.
