I've been driving VW TDIs for 11 years and will be making the change. I was primarily driving a diesel for the long commuting (200km/day) but for a few years my commute has shortened significantly. Expecting my i3 to arrive in the coming weeks.

Cool to hear some real world usage. Will be interesting to see more as people start getting the 2017.

Damn, that sucks - sorry to hear about it. Almost makes me question whether I should not have ordered the sunroof on my soon to arrive i3. Between that and the few stories about the all glass hatch being expensive to replace/repair, I hope I don't run into any issues.

I think for Canada it may hit a port in Halifax, not 100% sure though.

I don't think they're terribly accurate. I was surprised to hear early September from my dealer, though maybe that's the timelines they're used to. All of these first orders are likely July production, and then the wait will be how long it takes the vehicle to be delivered to the dealer I guess?
