I'm looking for the instructions to replace the rear latch. It appears the original links are dead. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
I just had my software upgraded at the dealer to I001-16-03-504. I have the updated E-SYS etc. but I cannot find this anywhere as I had it coded previously:
3040-VAM_UNLOCK_KL150OFF_AFTER_PIA_AUTO_LOCK
Has this been moved? Any thoughts on where to find this?
Thanks.
Using the deconstruction of the profile file method, I know I have the Nov. update, but I do not get the 'flap open' warning. All to say, the 'flap open' technique may be fine as a general rule but shouldn't be taken as authoritative - esp. if the car has been coded.
There is a long string all about this on the facebook i3 page. Not shipped yet as far as I know. https://www.facebook.com/groups/BMWi3/permalink/966001193473742/?comment_id=979515065455688¬if_t=group_comment_reply
Woke up to see the following error on both my iPhone and iPad:
"Connection Error: Unable to connect to the BMW i Server"
It has logged me out on both devices and my password is no longer working. Anyone else get this?
Unlocking/locking the 'charger' should be a remote function added to the mobile app. If you are like me, I'd assume that many/most of us monitor charge rates anyway using mobile devices when connected to publicly available systems.
So far I have spent:
$500 EVSE unit
$1200 on install fees + potentially
$250
________
$1950
The rebate I am applying for maxes out at $900 - so this will cost me $1050 going the rebate route. If I had chosen not to go the rebate route I could have run the wire ($ est. $100) and bought the EVSE...
So just had the install done. The electrician now says that the inspection certificate for the rebate will be extra and require another visit/fee. At this rate even with the rebate money, it seems as though I'll be coming out even compared to if I had run the wriring myself!
Am I missing something?
Just had the CEL come on today - solid not blinking. I'm guessing all the software updates discussed on this thread have long been addressed and fixed. I am on the current firmware. Probably not coincidence that I used the REx last night for the first time. I'll run the diag check and see if it...
