    REX maintenance failure

I must be a lucky one. I have never had a problem with the REX. My car has performed without any problems. Flawless for over one year. 2014 i3 with 12000 miles. Granted, on car may not be indicative of all others, but I do know that people with problems post complaints, and those that have no...

Bmw i3 Range verses 2015 nissan leaf

I had a Nissan Leaf and routinely took it on a trip which left me about 14 miles left on the range. In the i3, I seem to get slightly better left over range. However, the difference is only 1-2 miles. So, having driven the Leaf for over two years on standard trip, and the i3 for six months, I...

    Collision Avoidance not working

One questions? What country are you living in? The collision avoidance is NOT in full implementation in the USA. Multiple features noted in the video have are not in use in the USA. They are in use overseas. I may be wrong, but I believe the avoidance features and lane maintenance features...

Code i3 in San Francisco Bay Area

Codemycar did my i3 coding remotely via internet. My car has a "hold charge state". It maintains the state whenever I engage it, as long as it is less than 70%. And as an aside, the AM radio works fine.

    DVDinMotion or CodeMyCar

Hi, Not certain what the "office feature" is. Also, did not enable DVD playback. Can't ever imagine wanting or using it. If I'm going to watch a video, I'll have my passenger use a tablet or laptop. Better resolution and screen brightness. They do include the cable in the price of the...

    DVDinMotion or CodeMyCar

I went to codemycar. They sent me the cable and the software download took about 15 minutes. Then, after hooking up to the port, they remotely reprogrammed multiple codes on my BMW i3. For a little more than the DVD in motion, I had multiple changes. They answered each e-mail in less than a...

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

Wow, I keep promising myself never to go back to this thread, but I keep on doing it. Like watching a train wreck, you want to stop, but can't help yourself. I know that this thread is meandering opinionated magniloquence, but like a drug, I need my fix. So, keep on posting, please. Never let...

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

Two comments: 1.) Wow, those are nice and shiny cars. I have never had cars that clean. You even polished the treads. 2.) People will continue to have opinions and disagree with yours. You are entitled to evaluation and comments. I would accept that you have made your point and be satisfied...

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

Wow, this thread is still going... I haven't looked in about a two weeks. Talk about saying the same thing over and over...Yeah, I get it. You're unhappy with everything with the car. This entire thread is nothing but tautological discourse. :ugeek: There is nothing to see here. Keep on...

Can't program Homelink Garage Door Opener

I have an old Genie opener. I found it you have to program the door opener by both syncing it to the car, then going to the actual motor/receiver unit and pushing another sync switch. By doing this, I got it to work. So, make certain you have actually actuated the receiver button on the...

Anybody RENEWING their Sirius XM Contract?

I have had it for years and continue to use it. I live in a midwest area and the choice of stations is abysmal. I love listening to multiple news sources including BBC and NPR. Getting financial updates from CNBC and Bloomberg is great. Also, the streaming choices are nice. I also pay for the...

Seriously starting to dislike the i3-please skip if disagree

I'm not going to defend or support the car. It's just a car. It's not a life style or a way of life. I have owned many cars. None are perfect, all are compromises. Sell it and get the one you like. Regardless of cost, it's not the most important thing in the world. Life is way too short to...

Does anyone else feel let down about their BMW i3 BEV

Do I feel let down... no, no , no , no Wow, reading these posts all I can think is that no one ever researches the car and feels free to complain about what appears to be known limitations. From someone who has driven a Leaf for two years, the i3 Rex is a breath of fresh air. Great...

i3 App, how to remove old routes

Hi, Thanks for the help. I didn't realize it could only be removed in the car menu... and, what a hidden method. It's under maps, then destinations, then hit a destination, then options on the mouse control, then scroll to delete, and delete one at a time. But it does work Thanks..

i3 App, how to remove old routes

Thanks for the suggestion. However, when looking at the routes, the options menu does not give and "delete" or remove option. It appears that routes stay in the system forever. There must be a way of getting the system to purge the memory. Any help?
