Oh you are right. They really need to standardize more of this if they want the average person to accept it.

I just assumed my i3 had the DC charging port. I had no idea it was an option. Oh well, level 2 is working just fine for me. I kind of just jumped feet first into my i3 without fully checking everything out. But I do love it.

I was actually told by the parts department that no one cuts the tag off, they justify lay one over the other. It worked fine. I like how they look. I may order the black ones in addition. I like a change every once in awhile.

I just wanted to give an update. Thehome charging with the OUC is working perfectly for me. I mounted it to the wall next to the outlet and plug in through a Kill A Watt meter. I did set the charging rate on the vehicle to "reduced" to protect the meter but have not noticed any significant...

I use the OUC as my primary means of charging. I've had my I3 for 2 weeks now and it works perfectly well for my driving needs. I mounted the OUC box right next to the outlet and use a Kill A Watt to measure my electricity usage. It's the perfection setup for me.

OK I think I got it but let me ask. I'm currently just charging using the standard 120 household outlet. Our rate plan is 12.5 cents per kwh. So where do I go get my miles/Kw in the app? Sorry for all the trouble but I need to keep track of this before the first electric bill shows up...
