It appears to be luck of the draw. I ordered a couple of days before you and mine is still due in April. It's not due to any special options either - mine is fairly lightly speced.

I had an email from my dealer saying my car would now have the Winter Package and the price had gone up £300 as BMW don't offer a price guarantee... DC prep is only standard for US cars, not UK - I think their base price went up $1000. When did you get your VIN?

Interesting Noodle - I also ordered a white REx mid-December. I was told April for delivery at the time but I thought that might be optimistic...
