If anyone's looking for a new level 2 EVSE, eMotorWerks is having an Earth Day special and from now until 4/30 you get a free upgrade to JuiceNet Green (a $50 value) with the purchase of a JuiceBox Pro 32 or Pro 40 from the eMotorWerks webstore.
It's a good deal on a great charging station...
Personally I prefer to use the JuiceBox Pro 40, and I test & write reviews for charging stations. Take a look at my recent charging station buyers guide for InsideEVs:

The price is the biggest difference as you mention. And since the ClipperCreek doesn't really have any distinct advantage, why spend the extra $$? If you want another reason, the JuiceBox is Energy Star rated and the CC isn't. :D
There's been a bunch of news posts on various sites today station that BMW has discontinued the range extender option for 2019 along with adding a larger battery which is now 42 kWh. The larger battery is true, and it should increase the EPA rated range to about 150 miles per charge.
As for the...
It's not as simple as just upgrading the circuit breaker, and I assume you realize that. I just want to make sure other readers don't get the wrong idea. In addition to the new circuit breaker, the wiring has to be sized properly also. You'll need 8 gauge wiring for a continious 40 amp draw. A...
I know the listed usable capacity is 27.2, but I believe we actually get closer to 30 kWh. I, too am averaging closer to 120 miles per charge with a 3.8mi/kWh average.
Hi All,
I know many here have asked about which home charging stations are the best. I've done some reviews on various EVSEs and posted them here in the past. I just did another of the JuiceBox Pro 40, so I wanted to put the link here for anyone interested.

The first model year i3 was 2014, not 2012. They did make a couple thousand of them in the last three months of 2013, but they were 2014 model year vehicles. I don't think the 2018 i3 will depreciate any faster than previous years have, but only time will tell. :)
I'm not sure you can. I see you're in the UK so I don't know how BMW is handling this issue there, but if you have a 2014 with a decent amount of mileage (over 25k or so), then I'd recommend you look into it.
Let us know how BMW is dealing with this over there. I'm curious to hear if they are...
Many of the early 2014 deliveries and especially the higher mileage cars have begun to experience a problem with incorrect state of charge values. It's causing considerable issues especially for REx owners. Here's a rundown of the problem and what you should do...
There's more of them than you think - or you have an unusual amount of fingers! The image below are the EVgo DC Fast charge stations in the DC area, and north up towards the Boston area. Yes, DC Fast charging is going to cost more than charging at home, it's a convenience. However most i3 owners...
BMW's ChargeNow EVgo program is now expanded to include the entire national network of EVgo DC Fast charge stations. There's currently 668 DC Fast stations available, and that total will be over 700 very soon as BMW & Nissan are teaming up to add another 50.
Details and links to the ChargeNow...
