My thought process on long trips (80 miles or more) is hold soc at 75% period. Why? If your REX fails to activate then you know your car's new limits and when where you now have to adjust fire. Also, you'll be ready to adjust when the chargers are all full or inoperable. Terrain and speeds eat...
Not by coding... But if you have the i brand key fob protector (blue rubbery thing even glows slightly I the dark...) Put it on inside out so all keys are covered. This only helps with comfort access equipped i3. Hope this helps. I realize it's not coding But it's a fix to the problem.
Instead of tipping the accelerator you can simply toggle the speed adjuster up or down right as the car in front of you begins to move forward. Look MA no feet!!!
I'll be moving back to Las vegas this summer after a 12 year stint in New Mexico. I'll be taking my coded rex with me. What clubs or members are out there? Looks like plenty of charge stations everywhere there!
I heard there is an expensive aftermarket kit available but to me it's not worth the price. I already have the movie in motion option coded but I'm more interested in mirroring my Google maps as its constantly updated compared to bmw navigation. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I just open the connected app and it tells me if it's locked or unlocked. I can then send out a request to remotely unlock or lock from the app. Same for preconditioning.
FWIW I can't get to1.9 gallon even with coded rex SOC running gas to zero and forcing back to battery... Even with overflow of fuel in gas tank i haven't reached 2 gallons. I've decided the half gallon for me isn't worth counting on or having coded. YMMV.
