    Hold charge function

Does the "fix" cover the i3 standard default 6" Map screen verses the larger 10" Pro map screen.

    Hold charge function

Thinking about getting the Hold Charge Function. (not found on DVDinmotion site). We rarely use our REX feature (due to the wife's reluctance to drain the car down to only a couple of miles remaining). But before Christmas, dressed formally, heading to special event, we thought we could find a...

    EVSE Location Opinions

Jeff, I've tested/tried different mounting locations helping others which helped me best decide my own location. There are several factors to consider as well as questions to ask yourself. Some say that you should always locate near the main electric service panel - considering line loss or...

    BMW CCA and State incentives

First - as I said BMW NA makes the decision on rebate offers. I remember Tricia Jones at BMW CCA as the rebate administrator. Maybe Frank 864-250-0022 x226 exective director can answer.

    BMW CCA and State incentives

This is exactly what is was talking about. I called CCA rebate program manager - who stated this program is really BMW NA - and the i3 would not be available for rebate until BMW NA re-evaluates (usually done in beginning of the year) in 2015. I'm upset that called, sent emails, have been a...

    Range Extenders for EV's....

To collect thoughts - the feedback method (comparing your directed question survey to using a owner forum) needs to be less directed. Your solution is only narrowed down after listening to the range of open feedback. Concerning the after market Rex you are attempting to design / optimize: -...

    More dealer and charging support!

Part of the issue is BMW NA regional management not communicating very well with the independent dealers. One of the dealers pulled out a 1 inch thick stack of hardcopy documents from BMW NA to the dealerships. They had a hard time deciphering conflicting document information. My dealer had to...

    Wanting an "exact" i3 Rex

Read the articles about the MB B-class having the lowest efficiency (article quoted 2.8miles per kWh) while we typically get 4.5 to 5.1 miles per kWh. I agree with the other comment. There are more Giga's than Tera's. More White than Orange. More vehicles with Parking Assist and less with Tech...

    Torn between two I3's!

Out of the two options, I like the Comfort Access, 19" wheels, nicer interior, lower cost . The sound system decision - I would stay with Stock Sound for the lease and short commute.

    Electron-guzzling driving

I'm pleased that all of our kWh used are zero carbon / hydroelectric generated at 3.59 cents per kilowatt-hour. This makes driving a low cost joy.

how many with zero i3 problems?

When I received my i3 in August, dealer had already turned down the KLE charge rate. No problems yet (knock on plastic carbon fiber). Happy with it and we have not been back to the dealer yet. Usage: 1300 miles, one trip was over 210 miles round trip requiring a single use of the Rex (consumed...

Documentation on the new increased residuals

Tell me more about the 60% residual. (53% + 9%)? This would be an increase from the July 43% up to 50% that occurred in Aug and now you say another 7% kicking it up to 60% in Sept. I need to know quickly along with any support documentation - so I can go back to the dealer ASAP.

    Heating of car during charging

I would estimate that i3 will generate less heat than your ICE vehicle catalytic converter. Battery re-charging will generate heat. Not sure of the exact BTU's for the i3 - which is dependent on how much charge is needed. From 0% to 80% battery charging heat would be higher than heat generated...

    LED headlights performance

Comparing to my other vehicles (X5, Prius, etc..) - I like the LED lighting driving at night on the i3. Out in the distance, it gives a blue/purple glow to road signs from the top edge of the light pattern. Overall satisfied with night visiblity and lighting effects. But, I wish the high beams...

    Park Assist-anyone ever used it?

I've used it several times (mainly showing a friend) - and it works very well. People comment that it appears to be calibrated to get your vehicle about 4" or 100mm of the curb. Couple of times after it finished parking, I felt the need to back up a foot just to center the car in the opening -...

    apple watch

Did you take note that the Apple Watch also supports NFC - which is an Output from the BMW brand "BMW i Charging Station"? Waiting to see what it tells us.

Recharge rates Maximum, reduced and something else.

Exactly - straight to the point of what was said on other discussions. Nice thing with ChargePoint has is the ability to dowload a CSV file (for a spreadsheet) and see exactly what charging levels you received over time at different stations. My new i3 max's out at 4.7kW rate - totally...

    Apple Watch

And of course you see it supports NFC communication - so I wonder about BMW i Charger and Apple Watch (both communicate via NFC)

Documentation on the new increased residuals

The dealer received a document "BMW Sales August 2014 - on page 5 - shows the increased residual value and in a table compares the Prius, Leaf, Volt, MB B class, 528i, 328d, i3 Bev and i3 Rex. Several dealers have stated how confusing it is with the overlaping documentation. They need to...

I have placed my bike (Specialized) inside the i3 boot several times with back seats down and front bike tire removed. Works fine.
