Got the passenger airbag update/recall on my 2015 and I can't code off the seatbelt chime anymore as well. Anyone know what the new parameters are? Can't adjust the alarm lock/unlock beep either.
I've taken my i3 to autox and definitely felt the brakes could be a tad bit better. Could be just my worn tires/skinny tires but I find ABS engages rather easily.
That being said, C&D lists the 60-0 braking distance of 108ft. Comparable to many other sports cars. (104ft for the F80 M3)
I live in Los Angeles. In "good" weather, AKA all months except for summer here, I average around 75 miles. The past couple weeks when it hit triple digits, I've seen the range drop down to as low at 50 miles/charge. (my car is parked outside 24/7). This is a 60ah model.
Jeez I'd never do that. Just finished the trip this weekend and took the 5  It was quite fun seeing people turn around and point at my car, especially other phev and Model S owners.
I basically rex'ed all the way up. I'd say there's gas station every 30-50 miles and I was getting...
Yup that was my main concern. There are 0 CCS units along the i-5 which I will be taking. I did a quick google maps search and seems like there's at least one gas station every 30-40 miles so I should be okay. I'll carry a spare 1 gallon tank just for emergency. Farthest I've gone is LA to...
Anybody taken the 5 up and just filling up to drive to SF? I'm coded with the full 2.4 gal (not 2.1)
Thinking of hitting the DCFC @ Santa Clarita, charge to 80% and just keep HSOC enabled once I drop down to 75% and fill up constantly. Google maps show a decent amount of gas stations on the way...
Personally, I'm not to bothered by the highbeams, BMW cheapened out on the i3 in many other places (LED low beams are only auto-leveling and not real adaptive.) Yeah it's a bit yellow but it provides enough for highbeams.
I don't think aftermarket LED light bulbs are up to the job yet unless...
AFAIK, Crevier does not actually participate in the program, they just have a big fleet on service rentals they give to i3 owners that purchased from their dealership.
Cons: Check with your state laws, might get a fix it ticket if you tint too dark, a dark tint will also make it harder to see outside at night.
Pro: much cooler interior, won't feel the sun's heat when it's on your face=less a/c=more efficiency! A good quality ceramic tint can be a bit pricey...
Do you have actual information from BMW about this? I keep seeing this however I have not seen any actual documentation on this. All I have seen points to the rex being the exact same. They only difference for the 2017 is access to the full 2.4 gal.
You can try coding
R_GANG_AKUSTIK_ENABLE: aktiv
Comment = Aktiviert den Rueckwaertsgang-Gong fuer Japan (Translation = Activate the reverse-Gong for Japan)
I'm not sure if it's just an interior tone of exeterior
Yup, US models have it standard, like with the LED headlights/DRLs.
They could be standard on european models as well, I am not 100%. If it is, then the enhanced would probably mean the ability to connect two phones and the dock within the armrest.
enhanced bluetooth enables the function to allow you to play music from your phone via bluetooth. Otherwise you will only get phone calls. However, I believe this is something that can be coded on.
driving assistant plus is active cruise control with traffic jam assist. In the US, it's only an...
