    2017 BMW i3 Build - Video

Awesome, thanks for posting. I had never seen this.

I wonder how Tesla 3 Buyers will react to losing tax credit

There has been a lot written about this but if he delivers his 200k us model on the first day of a quarter he can probably deliver many more in that first free quarter and then maybe drop the price a little to come closer to the 3875 lost and by then hope the momentum and car performance keeps...

    High mileage in a i3

There are a number of drivers who approach 50k miles. I think the most impressive driver was in the 40s and had almost half of his miles on Rex (which is encouraging to know it can handle that much use).

i3 on Consumer Reports "The Worst of the Worst Used Cars"

I don't have a massive problem with them calling our car the worst of the worst in terms of used car purchases-- questions of battery maintenance (probably not a big issue with the i3 but it was a massive issue with 1st gen leafs), mult firmware updates (which are similar sounding to recalls)...

5 *months* to fix an i3. Normal?

I would file for mediation for your $1000 and some of the 5 lease payments. Failing that, I would take it in to different dealers for every minor nuisance and demand nicer loaners each time. At some point you may meet a service manager who sees things from your perspective and advocates on your...

Nice to see 5 star reviews on the car.

    Pre-conditioning Value vs Cost

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I was hoping to confirm that delaying charging (so that charging was complete when it was time to go to work) with my wifi enabled juicebox would provide similar benefits as L2 battery pre-conditioning.

    Lots of problems

Nice to see this update but keep us informed if you have more problems.

How many have had the drive train malfunction error?

Just read through this thread- any resolution to your sage from last year Greatwhite?

    Buy a 2014 or Lease a 2015?

Other factors to consider (in favor of buying at the great price the orig poster has available ): Future i3s may have great new features or range options but you are likely to pay for those. If gas goes up in price (probably won't for awhile but you never know) i3s will too. For those who...

Does anyone regret getting an i3?

Sorry to add to the growing list of those who like their i3. I've just had mine for a week but I can't imagine that I'll ever buy another ICE car. I had driven a CNG in the past though so I don't have range anxiety ever (plus I got a rex). The suicide doors aren't awesome but otherwise no...

    Buy a 2014 or Lease a 2015?

Interesting that so many favor a lease in this specific scenario. I think at 33k it is obvious that you should buy. I realize that these don't hold their value but they will hold some value (esp rex versions) and if the car works for your situation there is no reason not to buy if you are...

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

Yep, I was more skeptical than you are. They sent me pics of all the paperwork- it is sold as new (just with 7k miles on it). I have plenty of documentation for the arbitration hearing with BMW if they lied. The Colorado credit is new or used (as long as it hasn't been titled in Colorado and...

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

Before. . . I can't imagine that anyone will score a better price ever on an i3. And as bonus, I'm getting it shipped to my home in Colorado (another 5000 state refund). Insane deal really.

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

Mine is eligible for the credit (never registered, still "new", only downside is the existing miles and prior model year).

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

I ended getting the 2014 29,900 demo with 6k miles. Other than missing the upgraded hk stereo it had everything I wanted (and rex was a nice bonus). They are getting new floor mats and they say it is new otherwise. Thanks for the pm jacqueusi!

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

I can't tell if any of the Tulsa dealership deals on left over 2014s a few months ago (long-time lurker on the forum) actually panned out but nudging closer to 10-12k off MSRP on BEVs seems a great deal with gas cheap and REX's seemingly so popular.

Anyone seeing good deals on end of year i3s (esp BEVs)?

Was hoping that we'd see a repeat of last year with big drops off MSRP but not seeing much in the midwest area (I'm in Dayton, Ohio). I assumed with all the REXs out there that a straight up BEV might be available on the cheap but I'm not seeing it. Seems like leasers outnumber buyers...
