    Range Extender maintenance cycle required

It came on during a recent short trip. When I got out of the car, it stopped, then when I got back in it waited about 20 minutes or so and started it again.

    Interior Mood Lighting

The window sticker was already off my car when I bought it. I will look at that other list as you suggest. In other news the neighbor has agreed to stand in the street and see what kind of pedestrian warning I get. (Just kidding).

    New i3 maybe

130 km each way? Is there a plug at destination? 130 round trip in EcoPro mode with a ReX in a traffic-light zone with a 90km limit should be totally possible. I am not sure what the incentives are like in Canada but the deals on i3s in the USA can be extremely affordable.

charging plug will not release from my i3

The problem in my car was an incorrectly routed emergency release. It was literally bound in the "would not move" position.

    Interior Mood Lighting

http://www.mybmwi3.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=537 I don't think Atelier models have this function. If you look under the iDrive settings menu under "lighting"... In the USA, I believe models start at Mega world, which is akin to Loft. Then Lodge (Giga) and then Suite (Tera). The manuals...

My boring 1st year lease report

I saw that advertised as well. I thought I'd read something that happened after that said instead you might get super-low rental rates or discounts if you rented from the dealer (if they DO rentals). I know that my dealer has a very, very large fleet of 'unmarked' loaners so I wonder if this...

Anybody RENEWING their Sirius XM Contract?

It should be written on the window sticker even if they didn't say anything. At least mine did. You can also activate it via calling the XM radio 800 number.

Anybody RENEWING their Sirius XM Contract?

I guess I was more asking about the album info thing. I get that the i3 is a city car, but "long trips" is often mistaken for "long distances". Some of us in congested cities have short commutes but do spend quite a bit of time in the car.

Anybody RENEWING their Sirius XM Contract?

Here's a question: I have a loaner 2016 328i which has an active Sirius/XM radio. I notice that ALL album info and art is shown in the iDrive display - even for XM songs - not just when I have my iPhone plugged in and am using Apple Music. It displays a nice picture of more radio information in...

Is connecting the charger a one-handed job?

I do this. The key is to make sure it is the heaviest duty you can find and to only buy as long as you need, not longer. I have also found that the charger is really smart...if there is anything else on the circuit or if the socket is old and crappy the charger will not work. This is probably a...

charging plug will not release from my i3

My cable is being replaced along with something else. I had the issue again and when I pulled on the emergency it would not move. Apparently it is going to take some weeks because whatever they need is coming from Germany. They gave me a pretty nice 2016 328i xdrive so I'm set with...

Why is there a choice of two cars on my iRemote app?

    [/b] the car is unsold.

    I3 unsafe in winter weather?

I just read the manual. It says that braking intervention is active up to 35 mph in the Intelligent Safety systems, but some of these passages are very confusing. It says that the equipment varies by country (okay) so I got out my window sticker to see what is listed. For instance, in the...

Beware of keyless theft of your i3

Er...rather, anyone's keyless car. Glad you got it back.

    i3 Maintenance Costs

I just wondered because you said "tires" in your post. Exclusions from coverage include the following: Items reimbursable under your New Vehicle Limited Warranty Gasoline and diesel fuel Gasoline and diesel fuel additive Diesel glow plugs Diesel particulate filter Windshield washer additive...

    I3 unsafe in winter weather?

Nope. All-seasons. And I have all of the driving assistant stuff. I am, however, trying to figure out whether I'm running the latest software. I may actually not be. The only time the car has ever done the slamming on the brakes thing was in the 'sudden bright light versus tunnel' situation...

    Should I get one?

There really isn't. :) I don't think it is getting a lot of use because it doesn't work with the Leaf , yes. Pretty much the only cars that I think can use it are the i3 and the VW e-Golf, right? Also, it seems to show up ONLY on the car's station menu, not on the Chargepoint app and not on...

    I3 unsafe in winter weather?

Strange, I live in New England as well and have not experienced any of this. 8" of snow yesterday, 5+ a few days ago and the only snow problem I had was the giant plow-induced hump at the end of the driveway.

Charge won't reach 130 km range

Ryan, did you download the Plugshare app or look at Chargepoint.com? If you really are having range issues, there may be places near your work, at your work, or at shopping plazas on your way in the area that you can plug into if you're having a problem. I just mapped Toronto and it looks like...
