    i3 BEV tire size comparsion

I am sorry, that you misinterpreted that I'm trying to understand the difference of the performance between the tires, not between the cars. Nor was I trying to pick the fastest i3 on the market.

    Bad XM radio reception

I guess I'm not the only one....it sucks but that's a little comforting.... Yeah, XM radio quality isn't exactly top notch so I usually listen to the news. Now with I3's signal reception: "President Obama just announced (static noise...............)" "Next, a shocking news to all (static...

    i3 BEV tire size comparsion

I thought about that too, but that's with the traction control on. With traction control off, it no longer detects the wheel spin (or it no longer cares...) but the software still limits the power and increases gradually as the speed picks up - I believe that part is hard-coded. Even though REx...

    i3 BEV tire size comparsion

The overall diameter is close but the real difference is the contact surfaces since one is wider than another. Obviously either tire can handle the instant torque coming from the motor so BMW limits the motor power with the traction control that you can't truly disable it. What I would like to...

    i3 BEV tire size comparsion

The base Mega BEV comes with 155/70R19 tires on all 4 wheels. The Giga and Tera BEV comes with 155/70R19 tires on the front and 175/60R/19 on the rear. Anyone test drive both of these before? Or can provide test data? Which one accelerates faster? The 155 because it has less drag or the 175...

    Bad XM radio reception

My i3 has poor XM radio reception that it got cut off all the time, where my other cars don't have the problem except when I'm under the bridges or surrendered by tall buildings. I took it for service but they didn't find anything wrong with the antenna, and told me that's just how it is. Anyone...

Regen braking can be dangerous on icy roads

This topic makes me wonder.... When completely lift the accelerator, I don't think the car using 100% regen brake only because I can hear braking from the front wheels. Can anyone confirm if that's the case?

    Buy a 2014 or Lease a 2015?

From your question, I'm guessing you are debating because you can get a really good deal on the 2014 but then you are not sure if this car is perfect for you so you wanna lease the 2015 and find out? In my opinion it depends on the incentives ($$$$), if both Federal & State are available then I...

    Lease Deal I Negotiated: Good/Bad?

Well....of course higher monthly rate is expected without any down payment. I'm only asking to see what ppl are paying with $0 down. Downpayment IS the bad idea! If you do small downpayment it will only save you some bucks a month. If you do large downpayment it could save you a whole lot...

    Lease Deal I Negotiated: Good/Bad?

It seems like many ppl got nice deals but with huge down payments.... Is there anyone on lease with $0 down and would like to share the numbers? Or anyone would like to share the $0 down deals that the dealers offered?

Does anyone regret getting an i3?

With 82 miles round trip, the REX is your only option. Here's why: 1. The faster you drive the less range you will get. For 82 miles I'm guessing that's mostly highway? For 40 mph, you can get almost 100 miles per charge...60 mph, around 80 miles per charge, and 80 mph is gonna be somewhere...
