    March software update?

The online updates are only for the media/phone/bluetooth. The software referred to in this thread must be installed by a dealer.

    Satisfaction Ratings for your i3

The SOC is available in the app for me, too, when unplugged. The car seems to send an update to the BMW server when you shut down and leave it. It doesn't send an update until you get in the car again.

Pandora Album Art/information Does Not Update

It appears to be a problem with other BMW models, too. I also have a 2014 335i and the same thing happens. The BMW genius at my dealership claims it's a Pandora API problem, but I've rented Fords and Chevys recently and album artwork and song info is updated just fine. Wish BMW would fix this...

    Disappointed with range

Are these numbers actuals (you've run the battery down from a full charge and drove those miles) or based on the range meter? The range meter, otherwise known as the "guess-o-meter" or GOM, is often reported to be very inaccurate. Mine rarely shows more than ~65 miles at a full charge, even...

    Electron-guzzling driving

+1!! I actually had someone pull up along side of me at the light after the one I did this at once... he was impressed and wanted to know more about the i3.

    Auto locking of doors

FWIW, I haven't found it either. I don't care for that feature and also want to turn it off.

Phone app is always out of date by a few hours

I'm having similar problems. Sometimes mine won't update for more than a day. During these update outages of sorts, if I try to go to BMW online in the car, it says it can't connect to the cellular network. Other people have experienced the same thing. Next step for me is to call the iConcierge...

Air Conditioning Always On at Startup

I'm not doing it to save kWhs, although most of my driving is in the city. When it's below 80 deg outside, I just prefer to have the fresh air blowing in through the windows. I would think if there were a default setting of some sort, it would be to "off" not "on" for an EV, so I ruled that out...

    Flat tire?

Fortunately, in the US at least, the tires are currently available at Tire Rack, too ($135/$149) for front/rear all-seasons). My dealer's finance person, when trying to sell me a $2500 tire/wheel warranty, said they were run flats and $749 each, so as we've seen in many instances over the past...

Air Conditioning Always On at Startup

Does anyone know of a way to prevent the air conditioning (climate control system in general) from coming on when you "start" the car? Even if I turn it completely off (including the fan) prior to shutting down and leaving the car, when I return and start up again, the a/c comes on. In all other...

    Onboard Charger Issues

I have a BEV. I didn't record times or recovered mi/hr during charging and have only charged it this one time since getting it back (they "topped it off" for me before returning it). I figured something was amiss since after plugging in, I noticed the car predicting it would take more than 4...

    Onboard Charger Issues

Tom/all, I recently took my car in for the software patch/reload to get my a/c working again, but my car is only charging at around 5.5kW. Before now, it was charging at above 7kW. It seems they also did something to reduce my charging rate, even though my KLE was fine.

BMW/Bosch introduce a cheaper CCS Combo charger

If we're going to delve into this further (it seems many folks on here love the detailed computations), I still stand by my original thought. The ChargeNow DC Fast program is free through Dec 2015. That's a full 17 months. If one were to drive 12,000 mi/yr, using a realistic 3.5mi/kWh (factoring...

BMW/Bosch introduce a cheaper CCS Combo charger

This is great news! For those of us in San Diego, we can now just pop over to Fashion Valley for a quick, free charge at any time. I guess depending on how much you use it, that $700 quick charge option can pay for itself before the end of 2015.

i3 BWM Car Club of America Rebate/Rewards eligible ?

I've asked a couple times, and they answer was "no, but check back periodically." I haven't asked in a couple months and I get my car next week, so will call them again.

    Installing my Clipper Creek Charger

Another thing to consider is that I'm pretty sure the plug-in ones aren't certified for outdoor use, if that's an issue for you.

    Availability of 2015 Model

Anyone have any intel on when the 2015 i3 will be available and/or if anything will change from the 2014s? BMW usually rolls out the new model years in the September timeframe, but the i3 may be different. I have a 2014 on order which is still in 111 status (has been for several months)... maybe...

    Insurance premium

Me, too, except I have Farmers. When I get the i3, it'll be $530/6mos and my '08 335i will drop to $580/6mos. I'm in San Diego and I'll drive 7500/yr miles total between the two cars. If applicable, make sure they know one will be for limited pleasure use, and the other for commuting. Location...

    Tesla Superchargers Availability for i3

Some of you may have read today that Elon Musk has made Tesla's patents available for good faith use. According to an article I read, Tesla also will also open up the technology it is using to build its supercharger network. Elon said he already had talked to BMW about sharing the network...

Brand / Type of Wall Charger to Install

Four words in the listing and contract easily solves the problem: "EVSE does not convey." Again... it's a factor that should not affect one's decision on whether to buy a hardwired or plug-in EVSE.
