Was able to remove and replace, that weird noise is gone now. I just need to program used eps to car now.

Does it sound strange to you when it turns or is that the normal sound?

Hopefully I can post a link to a video I made, ideally the plan is to fix it myself I just have nothing to compare the steering to. At its worst it doesnt seem too complex to repair as the extreme would be to replace the shaft and rack and pinion which appears to be just bolts...
