I can answer my own post. Since I had gotten a 3-month warranty from the Ford dealership, they told me to get it checked out at BMW. I just got back and BMW recommends (after a $200 diagnostic) to replace the O2 sensor as well as the fuel injector. The estimate comes in at $2000CDN. Ouch...
