    Why BMW Dealers so greedy?

That's my point ... when I wanted to buy an i3s from a California BMW dealer, this particular dealer wouldn't sell to me saying they don't sell out of state, though car was listed on all the usual websites. BMW headquarters when I complained said they don't understand why they would not take my...

    Why BMW Dealers so greedy?

So I figured when I posted there would be some horrid stories of BMW dealer wanted to charge big $$$$ for described repairs - we are on to Rolex watches now?

    Why BMW Dealers so greedy?

I have been doing the same. This week there was a 2020 i3s red with 4000 miles on it in Ramsey NJ that was discounted from $28,000 to $19,900. I reached out and it was gone. There was another that went for $21,000 in Texas - a BEV Red i3s with 20k miles. Many dealers are too high and even the...

    Why BMW Dealers so greedy?

I've been wanting to buy an i3s recent model 20-21 for a bit now. In the US, my concern is for instance how knowledgable are mechanics these days on these expired cars, an 2nd, if dealers are charging $500 to replace a $100 12 volt battery, what crazy charges when it's something more...

    Electric problem

saw this in a previous post This problem has been reported fairly often, unfortunately. A few i3 owners have replaced the LED's on the climate control circuit board (soldering required) which fixed the problem. BMW's fix is to replace the circuit board which is fairly expensive if not under...

Scary catastrophic tire failure (not on an i3)

Yeah … over inflated is the only way that happened … maybe a prank where someone attached a battery operated air pump and set it to 60 pounds

Dealer won't honor California battery 10 year warranty

Why not call another BMW dealer - $38,000 you can buy a 2021 and have 10k in your pocket and trade in your current one

Dealer won't honor California battery 10 year warranty

I call BMW customer service once because a California BMW refused to sell me an i3s because I was out of state and wouldn’t sell even if I went in person - the BMW Customer Service response was they are independently run so BMW can not tell them what to do.

2019 I3s - code P1179 and burning electrical smell after using Rex

Maybe take it to a different bmw dealer.

My intro message. BMW i3S is brilliant, but needs big range Solid State battery

Maybe there is a towing cart mechanism that holds an additional 600 mile state of art battery that connects to the charging port

My intro message. BMW i3S is brilliant, but needs big range Solid State battery

If a car is worth $3k to $5k in 2027, if he likes the car and it’s fun for him, he still has in his wants a great functional car so good for him if he’s happy improving the engineering. There may be an option for the i3 to hover and fly by 2030.

Replacing the REX Fuel tank pressure / temperature sensor

I watched today a great YouTube video on change the sensor, which requires dropping the gas tank as the sensor is inside. I bet it’s an expensive job.

Rex drivetrain error when coming to a halt

Maybe it’s the exterior gas door is not closing properly???? Is there a message for that?

    Are REX problems worth it?

Most of the i3s 2020-2021 come with a REX. At first I wanted a REX, but got turned off after reading posts of owners complaints of REX related issues that require BMW dealer intervention and $1000s to fix. My thinking a BEV would eliminate this extra burden if using car for errands or small...

    Are REX problems worth it?

I have been flip flopping. As I search for the right i3s, I read forums where BMW dealers are charging $1000s of dollars when i3 owners run into REX problems. I get the anxiety range, but I am thinking many owners must hold their breath before turning on the REX and have a relief of anxiety when...

    Help no heat

US BMW dealers are independently own so I learned when I complained to BMW because the San Luis Obispo BMW refused my online i3s purchase saying they don’t sell to my New England state. Paying cash, I’m arranging transport, I’m registering, insuring so what’s the problem? Been watching trying to...
